Advent Retreat
Father Brendan and Father Justin will lead a Catholic 301 Advent Retreat on Saturday, December 17 from 9:00am–12:00pm at the Basilica of the Assumption. The retreat will include the celebration of Mass and an opportunity for confession. Our talks will be based on The Advent of Salvation by Jean Daniélou, SJ. It is not necessary to own or to have read the book in advance, although if desired, it can be purchased through Cluny Media. For planning purposes, we would appreciate it if you would register for the retreat.
Homilies
Father Justin comments on Christ’s odd identification of himself as a thief—a thief who comes to steal the most precious of treasures for his Kingdom, while Father Brendan invites us to be present to life of the Savior this Advent through the faculty of our memory.
Articles
Father Brendan watched some movies, and found some first-class material for theological and philosophical introspection. You can read his thoughts on four recent releases in Films Worth Thinking About.

Upcoming
Join Father Justin for an Advent Rorate Mass this Saturday, December 3rd at 6:45am at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. Yes, it’s early! This votive Mass for Our Lady is offered by candlelight at dawn so that the Eucharist is consecrated with the rising of the sun. Don’t miss out on this beautiful tradition of our faith!
