I wholeheartedly agree that failure to grasp his point is the key to understanding the failure of Catholic/Christian evangelization. And it would seem to be a factor, along with the human need for belonging, to the rise of the "nones" and exodus from the Church.
To be clear: His point is that evangelization requires the evangelist to perceive the beauty of revelation him/herself and transmit this understanding in terms that the audience can understand. This is not easy, but is made easier by our study of the theology of beauty. (Thank you, Fr. Brendan!)
